Eddie Hui, the Chairman, Executive Director & CEO of B.Duck Semk Holdings International Limited and the founder of B.Duck, graduated from the Department of Fine Arts BA (Hons) from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. In 1999, he decided to study abroad in United Kingdom and entered at the door of the Kent Institute of Arts & Design which is ranking no. 3 in all UK Colleges about Master of Art & Design. Eddie founded Semk Products Limited in 2001 and B.Duck brand in 2005; and has since drove the small design house to become a successful IP company. His leadership and vision have earned him numerous accolades, including the "Young Industrialist Award of Hong Kong" and "Outstanding Entrepreneur Award" in 2017, "Best China Employer" and "Top 10 Economic Leaders of China" in 2018 and 2019 respectively. Under Eddie's guidance, B.Duck has received several prestigious awards, including the Asian Property of the Year by Licensing International in 2016, 2018, 2019 and 2020, “IP of The Year” in 2021, and the “Hong Kong Premier Brand” by The Chinese Manufacturers Association of Hong Kong and Hong Kong Brand Development Council in 2016, and the “Hall of Fame” award by the Hong Kong Designers Association. According to the Frost & Sullivan Report 2021 and 2022, we are the largest domestic character IP company and ranked fourth among all character IP companies in China, in terms of character licensing revenue in 2021, proving B.Duck’s excellent performance in brand development.
According to the background from Fine Arts and Design, Eddie is in belief of the words from Josef Beuys, one of the great Conceptual Artist from Germany who said "Every human behavior can be Art".
